Prime Minister James Marape responded to Peter O'Neill's questions on PNG's economy, jobs, and Forex issues. He acknowledged past mistakes, defended professionals, and recognized unemployment and Forex as major concerns. Marape admitted the economy was struggling when he took over in 2019, criticized his predecessor for unsustainable debt, and mentioned a roadmap to manage it. Despite record tax collections, he acknowledged economic health issues. He highlighted job creation through the DSIP PSIP program and engagement of local contractors. Lastly, he suggested improvements in Forex access.
