Ted Says enjoy! Alec Ramsey (Kelly Reno) tries to save his horse, Black, from being stolen, except he doesn't actually own the horse and the man doing the stealing, Abu Ben Ishak (Ferdy Mayne), is the legal owner. To keep Alec out of the way while the black stallion is loaded aboard a ship bound for Morocco, the boy is bound and gagged, except nobody bothers to frisk him and he retains his penknife, so he quickly frees himself. Alas, he is too late, the ship with the horse on board is leaving the harbour. Note the quality of this upload reflects the poor original.
This is an excerpt from the 1983 film, "The Black Stallion Returns", the follow-up to "The Black Stallion" released in 1979. Sadly for country boy Kelly Reno, who learned to ride horses at an early age, his acting career passed in slow motion. He was eleven when "The Black Stallion" was filmed in the summer of 1977, but had to wait until October 1979 before the movie was commercially released, upon which it was a great success. This prompted "The Black Stallion Returns" sequel, filmed in the autumn of 1981 when Kelly was fifteen, but not released until late March 1983. Kelly was second billed in a primarily Hungarian film, "Hosszú vágta / Brady's Escape / The Long Ride", released at the end of 1983 (1984 in the USA), and apart from a television episode in 1985 ("Amazing Stories: Alamo Jobe"), his acting career was over. If Kelly had not have been seriously injured in a road accident in June 1985 after filming of that TV episode had finished, perhaps things would have been different.
