This is a recording of a session from the 15th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA15), which took place online from 14-18 June 2021.

This session explored the value of different knowledge systems to identify nature-based solutions for local, resilient and high-quality food.

It started with lessons learnt from case studies from Latin America, Africa and Asia showing different understandings and approaches to the concept of NbS. Based on these inputs participants were invited to discuss in small break-out groups their experiences and challenges regarding how local and indigenous economies can be strengthened by locally produced food and why a combination of different knowledge systems is fundamental for a transformation of the food system.
