We consider the story of Gideon (Judges 6-8), who struggled with idolatry and self-reliance when God gave him victory over the Midianites. We, too, struggle with making idols of things that, ultimately, do not matter, when we *should* be fully reliant on God.

We also celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion at the end of this service - please bring your elements to where you are viewing the service!
