The Lord Jesus began His new life - His heavenly mission - when He ascended into heaven. And as a result, we are united with that life. We have become one with Him and associated with Him. We are joined to Him and have received the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence to lead and direct us into all truth. Paul, for example, was a perfect example of a life transformed by grace via trust in Christ. He let go of his past and decided to move on in Christ. From being the most zealous persecutor of Christ and His Church, he transformed into one of His most fervent fans, devoted his life to the One he adored. Everything works in the favor of those who follow God, whether good or terrible. God has promised that people who serve him would always have his support.
