“REDISCOVER CHRISTMAS:
Good News In Troubling Times”
Speaker: Pastor Sparks
Text: Luke 2:22-40

-Despite what’s happening, God is not only in control, but He’s STILL keeping us!

-Sometimes it’s hard to celebrate at the party because we keep thinking about how much we’ve spent on it. BUT, this party (Advent: preparation for the coming of Christ), is one we don’t have worry about the cost of; all we gotta do is CELEBRATE OUR SAVIOR!

-We have such a “right now” society, that we lose focus on the real meaning of this season. It’s all about the joy of ANTICIPATION!

-Every one of us needs the Hope of Christ right now!!!

-Think about how amazing the scene in this scripture had to be for Mary & Joseph (who’d just experienced a virgin birth) to be amazed at what Simeon said!

-Do you recognize “hope”? What are you waiting on The Lord to do in your life?

-It’s one thing to believe in prayer, but does HOPE accompany your prayer?!

HOPE has no “best if used by” date
You gotta believe EVERY DAY that TODAY will be the day your hope is fulfilled!
Hope DOES NOT get stale! The same hope you had 3 years ago is still good today!
HOPE never loses its power, because is ALWAYS able
God doesn’t promise you anything and doesn’t deliver!
Even if you doubt, it’s ok because doubt is not unbelief, but rather it’s just uncertainty. He can deal with that!
When you’re hoping for something, remember God’s faithfulness!
HOPE inspires us to keep on keeping on

Don’t ever give up. God can exceed your expectations! Even if it doesn’t seem like, don’t lose your hope!
