Is Your Purpose Tied to a Simple "Yes"?

Is your purpose tied to your obedience? In other words, is a simple "Yes" delaying you from unfolding the plans God has for you? Whether we read the story in the Bible or through the Disney special, we know that Moses did amazing things. Through the power of God, he performed miraculous events. He showed the might of God through the 10 plagues, Moses led the Israelites from bondage, he led them through the wilderness for 40 years, and of course - before any of those things, he parted the Red Sea.

However, when you do further research, his story grows and becomes fuller. Not only did he do the things mentioned above, he did so much more. Moses would be the same person tasked to deliver the first set of laws that future nations and generations would adopt and follow. He would also be the builder and caretaker of the Ark of Covenant. Later Moses along with his father-in-law would be the ones to articulate and build the same leadership structure that we use today in corporate America.

When I trace his story, I realize all those things are just the byproducts of one thing... a simple "Yes". If he didn't say "Yes" at the burning bush, his story would have been different.
