I realize that my heart was in bondage,
Slave to sin, a prisoner, a convict,
Always in a conflict, no conscience,
obnoxious with the constant nonsense,
Often offense in a life of pain,
I really had to fight to gain,
gettin high like kites and planes, I couldn't numb it,
when I got to the summit I'd plummet,
the trouble it kept coming and I couldn't get away,
Captive, bound like a ball and a chain,
In a labyrinth lost in the walls of my brain,
like a ravenous dog in a brawl wit a dane,
I'm appalled and amazing at the things that i lived through,
Everytime I look back in the rear view,
Really had a heart cold like an igloo,
Then the Word of the Lord came and cut deep like a Ginsu,
Out with the heart of stone, and got flesh,
when I bowed to the King of kings, I got blessed,
He came to the world in love and got death,
He got crucified for all of our mess and all of our debts,
And He got the Receipt and it's yours to receive if you'd only believe,
On the throne, it is He!! And He reigns!!
It's Jesus, High above every name!!
If you know He's amazing, then lift your hands up and praise Him,
Don't be afraid or ashamed, Even if world thinks you're crazy,
and If you knew like I knew, You'd be rejoicing beside me!!
I'm sayin, all I know is, with or without you, I'm singing everyday..
