What many do not necessarily understand, however, is how incredibly significant and foundational His death is for the gospel message. In fact, without the cross, the Christian doesn’t have any good news to share. Therefore, to truly appreciate the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, we must understand how His death on the cross destroys the wisdom of the world; examine why He died; and uncover what His death means for the Christian believer today.
