Misfi and RMP schools were accordingly discovered by the Philippine Government to have been infiltrated and subjugated by CPP/ NPA/ NDF, hence, with the Indigenous Peoples Communities were convinced to have it closed down. With the said closure, the government has to fill the space left by these schools, therefore, the Philippine soldiers assigned in this area through the leadership 89th Infantry Battalion worked hard to bring in school buildings and teachers of the Department of Education so the studies of the IP children would continue. It was the ground commanders of 89th IB who facilitated fund generation and the construction of the schools buildings in communities of Paquibato District and the Brgys of San Fernando, Bukidnon.
