This talk explores the rapid and phenomenal changes in technology from the mid 1950’s to date. The invention of computers, the Internet, the GSM and mobile phone revolution, the switch from tapes and video cassettes to VCD and DVD to Mp3 format and then ITunes and Spotify and other similar changes. This talk speaks of how our generation can make use of this technology as we are blessed to have witnessed these revolutions to ease work and make the world a better place.
The speaker is also expected to challenge everyone to get involved in the tech revolution. The world is no longer for people who can’t use technology well whatever their discipline. We expect the speaker to dispel the myth that tech is for some while not for some. In the UJ community we have students who can’t even access the school portal themselves talk more of paying fees which is simple with just an ATM card and are being extorted by café owners, etc.
This talk is an attempt to instill the IT revolution in the minds of Young people in Jos.
