We made this a year ago. It was one of the first videos of the lockdown era.

It only took an evening, to shoot and edit. The video is uncut and the movement sequence improvised. It took me another week to find the appropriate music to put on top. I was surprised with my final choice regarding the soundtrack, but it felt right then, and it still, somehow, feels highly appropriate today.

My model here is a long term partner, we have been tying together for nearly four years. I first met her as a stranger who spontaneously jumped on my stage at Kitkat Club, an early Sunday morning at the end of 2017.

It’s a big deal, the one rope play for my practice, I can find the whole essence of rope bondage in this exercise. In my imaginary books, I can potentially see a rope practitioner becoming a master, without having to use a second rope ever. All one needs is one rope; something close to ten meters long ideally.
