Tattooing is an ancient human art form that has historically been used to link communities through a common, inky thread. It is only relatively recently that the sacred art of tattooing has been sanitized and commercialized by the Western world. In my personal practice, I like to work in the earlier tradition of tattooing which is intuitive, incredibly personal, spiritual, and accessible.

This video is from my stash of home videos filmed in the summer of 2019; it documents what it was like to give my first tattoo to another person--my big sister, Margie, a member of my tribe. We also gain some insight into how it feels to receive a hand-poked tattoo as well as the importance of being authentic to all our hearts desire.
