Freedom isn't free. If there is anything we are reminded of on July 4th weekend, it's this one truth. For those of us who have chosen to follow Jesus, our freedom has been purchased by His blood. Jesus' sacrifice paved the way for us to live free from the bondage of sin. In light of that truth, how do we now live? Paul cautioned his readers in Galatians 5:13, not to use their spiritual freedom to do things they were freed from, but to now love their neighbor as Christ loved them. Our challenge today is the same: now that you have been freed from sin, go and love others as Christ has loved you.
