A young man falls victim to a wicked, drug-fueled revenge plot.

GRAND RAPIDS, Minnesota, USA – Joseph Thoresen is incarcerated in the Itasca County jail when he makes a call to a friend on July 27, 2016.

The friend is shocked to hear him, as it's the first time he's heard from his good friend since he was arrested for the murder of his friend, 20-year-old David Haiman a month prior.

The young man had been found bludgeoned and decapitated, his body and head separated by several feet in a wooded area out along Whispering Pines Road in the Ball Club area of Minnesota.

The remains had been out for several days when investigators visited Joe on June 26, 2016 at his apartment at 513 2nd Avenue NE in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The sheriff’s office, just steps away from Joe’s home, had been told about strange interactions involving Joe in the lead up to the disappearance of the 20-year-old, whose location by that point was unknown to law enforcement.

Joe assures his friend that the evidence will show his innocence.

At the same time, Joe's girlfriend, 22-year-old Kayleene Greniger, is willing to tell them an absolutely wild story involving a drug-fueled, sleepless night of paranoia, car chases and troubles, and what was being perceived as revenge.
