I am amazed at the power that the Bible gives to knowledge! Consider 2 Peter 1:3, “God's divine power has granted all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
Literally, all the power available from God to live and be godly comes through knowledge! Amazing!
What a premium we should put on doctrine and instruction in the Scriptures! Life and godliness are at stake.
Not that knowing guarantees godliness! It doesn't. But it seems that ignorance guarantees ungodliness. Because, Peter says, the divine power that leads to godliness is given through the knowledge of God.


KNOWLEDGE IS POWER In (Hosea 4:6) God says; “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”
There is power in the knowledge of God which unlike worldly knowledge has the power to not only set people free from bondage but also to transform peoples lives from the inside out.
You see any book can inform you but only the word of God can transform you.
Did you know that Satan masquerades himself as an angel of light? (2 Corinthians 11:14),


Knowledge of the word of God is extremely important in a believer’s life because it is truth and it is this truth that sets people free from the lies of the enemy (John 8:32).



Knowledge is power.
So why is lack of knowledge so dangerous? and why is it vital, important, crucial for you as a child of God to grow in knowledge of the word of God?.
Well, It is because the enemy knows that Ignorance of God’s word is the most effective weapon he can use against us believers in Christ which is why he tries to keep believers from knowing the truth.

He is after all, the father of lies (John 8:44).

Ignorance is not bliss because the enemy will use what you don’t know regarding the word of God against you.

(2 Peter 3:18) tells us to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.


To grow in grace is to mature as a Christian
It is important for you as a child of God to be alert and aware of the schemes of the enemy and also to continue to grow in knowledge of God’s word which has the power to protect you from the lies of the enemy and to change your life. "Knowledge is power"


Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,


2 Corinthians 4:13 Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak,


1 John 2:20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.


1 John 4:4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.


Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.


Isaiah 5:13 Therefore my people go into exile for lack of knowledge; their honored men go hungry, and their multitude is parched with thirst.


Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ


John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”


Proverbs 1:3-8 To receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth— Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance, to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. ...
