In this week's lesson, Jesus teaches the crowd how to live out their faith as His disciples. They needed to abide in His word, seeking to live according.

Many in the crowd didn't understand what Jesus was sharing about spiritual freedom. He wanted them to know a relationship with Him frees them from the bondage of sin and offers eternal life.

The Jews believed they did not need the freedom Jesus offered because they were direct descendants ofAbraham. Jesus’ explanation was not freely received by some Jews and they called Him a Samaritan and a demon.
