God gave us all freewill to live however we want. Most people have been hurt and wounded growing up and are affected by demonic thoughts which tell us to do things that will hurt us. Addictions like alcohol, drugs, smoking, vaping, sexual impurity, over eating, etc. Struggling with the fruits of the flesh over the fruits of the spirit. People who attend church are also affected if they have not truly forgiven everyone and walk in pride.

Demons have legal rights to affect people as long as people don’t want to give up their sins.

Demons give us many of those negative thoughts to cause us to be demanding, fearful, angry, jealous, prideful, bitter, envious, argumentative, sexually impure, depressed, etc. that’s why it’s important for people to get delivered and then take every thought captive. Demons cause us to get addicted to counterfeit comforts such as alcohol, smoking, vaping, sex and orgasms outside of marriage, porn, overeating, too much or little exercise, spending too much $, watching bad TV shows or movies with curse worse, sexuality, violence.



James 4:4 “You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be a friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.” Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve 2 masters…”





The Process of Deliverance: Elizabeth Watkins

The Lord hears our misery when we are in bondage to the rulers of the world. He has a way out - the process of deliverance. God instructs Moses to first go to the Israelites and not Pharaoh. Why? When we are in bondage to the world, the enemy is the one we serve. We have to be willing and want to be delivered. God will never override our free will. We have to be willing to leave what we have grown comfortable to (worldly bondage) in order to break free and live in the abundance God has for us (Promised Land).

We see that living in the world keeps us from being able to worship God and serve Him (Genesis 3:18). James 4:4 “You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be a friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.” Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve 2 masters…”

This battle will not be easy - for satan (Pharaoh) does not want us to be free! The Hebrews were in a battle with Pharaoh. Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, the powers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenliness.” God will fight for us if we allow him. The Lord even gave the Hebrews favor with the Egyptians - they left with all of the wealth of Egypt. He blesses our choice to get free.

The process of deliverance took time. Close to a year and a half. With each plague the Lord showed was more powerful than each Egyptian god. The Hebrews didn’t become slaves overnight, so it was a process to get free. This is how the process of freedom happens with us too. Even though the enemy may stubbornly try to keep you in bondage, the story of the Passover lamb shows us that the blood of the Lamb protects us.

When we finally do get free, don’t expect the enemy to give up easily. The Hebrews thought they were free, but Pharaoh pursued! Many times we get complacent and think we don’t have work to do. The truth is, the enemy wants us back in bondage and will pursue us. This is when we renew our mind and trust that the Lord will protect us from all attacks.

When the Lord frees you - He then wants a relationship with you. The mistake the Hebrews made was choosing to stay distant from God (Gen 20:18-19). All He wants is relationship with us and for us to fear Him in a way that respects His authority. The Israelites chose to have a worldly fear of Him - the image of God with a lightning bolt ready to strike whenever we make the smallest mistake. This is such a false picture of God.

The last stage before entering the Promised Land and all that God has for us - is purification. We have to get cleaned up from all the junk and wrong mindsets of our former worldly way of life. There is a reason the book of Leviticus comes after Exodus and before Numbers. The people had to learn how to worship the Lord. Its a process to retrain our minds so that we don’t go back to..
