Title: “Freedom & The Believer’s Bondage???"
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:1-5 NLT

Opening Remarks: Last time we were together I mentioned the unholy trinity and I left you with a curious statement! First the unholy trinity!
1. The Flesh –
2. The World –
3. The Devil –
The statement and explanation: “You cannot disciple a demon and you cannot cast out the flesh”!

The Credit due:
Much of what I talk about will have come from at least two sources. Sermons by pastor Robert Morris on Freedom and a book by Neil T Anderson, “The Bondage Breaker”!

Myth Busters:
*Christians are in bondage to the lies they believe!
1. All demonic activity stopped when Jesus ascended to heaven or after the apostles went home to be with the Lord!

2. The problems we have in life are either spiritual or psychological.

3. The demonic activity of the New Testament we understand today as either physical illness or mental illness.

4. Christians today cannot be afflicted by or under the influence of the demonic.

5. The way to overcome the evil in my life is through sheer willpower and the strength of self-determination!

Closing Thoughts & Directions:
“When you see a clear promise in scripture the appropriate response is to claim it! When you see a clear teaching in scripture the appropriate response is to obey it. When you see a clear truth in scripture the appropriate response is to believe it and live it!”
