In this must see episode I chat with Bonsai pioneer Tony Tickle. Tony has been working with bonsai since 1983 and specialises in native European trees. During our chat Tony shares his invaluable experience and delivers an abundance of advice and top tips. We also discuss a number of exciting subjects ranging from how Tony got involved in Bonsai to Winning the prestigious Noelanders Trophy in 2017 to what his top Bonsai tips are. This interview is packed full of information and advice which I imagine will be watched over and over again for a long time to come.

From 2003 - 2005 Tony was Board of Director for Bonsai Clubs International and a member of the Association of British Bonsai Artists.

He organised Bonsai Europa the BIGGEST bonsai event to take place in the UK since 1991.
He was the UK winner in the European New Talent Competition 1995.
He won his first Ginkgo award in 1997.
Tony was Nominated for a Noelanders award in 2009
In 2017 he won “Best Deciduous Bonsai” at the prestigious Noelanders Trophy in Belgium.
In 2018 Tony won a Bonsai Clubs International excellence award.
He is organiser of the UK National Bonsai show and writes for publications worldwide.

Tony seeks to promoted Bonsai as an art form in its own right, hosting exhibitions in
Museums and Art Galleries along with unusual locations that capture the public
imagination. He has presented bonsai in a creative and dynamic way courting controversy
and praise in equal measure.
