She is gagged in layers, starting with a stuff gag to remove her sense of taste. Next her sense of smell is removed by having her nose sealed shut with duct tape and then a large medical nose clip on top to pinch her nostrils closed. She began to try and spit the stuff gag out so her mouth was promptly sealed with transparent tape to ensure it is not removed.
