EcoTraining eLearning student Trisha Crookes brings us a Tickle Your Tastebuds video with a twist this Monday afternoon!

Do you know what Spekboom means?
From mid 19th century Afrikaans, 'spek' directly translated means bacon and 'boom' meaning tree.
So, therefore, Spekboom means bacon tree.
Other names for this amazing plant are Pork Bush or Elephant's Bush, this indigenous evergreen tree is an environmental miracle worker, with the potential to tackle carbon emissions as no other plant can.

So, plant, plant, plant!
