Time To Become Worthy! | Ep 1: Hardcore, Master Mode, "For The Worthy" Challenge.

In this episode, I removed the audio I had as it was making static and was very "off". Hopefully in next episode that should be fixed.

I am currently doing one of the toughest challenges available on the Vanilla version of Terraria. It involves playing on the hardest character difficulty and world difficulty, as well as playing on the hardest world seed, which is actually a secret world seed. This will make the game really difficult, and while there will be a small amount of extra advantages for playing in these difficulties, this will be a really difficult challenge to complete overall.

I have attempted this challenge a number of times before, I find this challenge to be plenty of fun and it is sometimes tedious, full on or quite scary, however it is loads of fun.

Here is the breakdown of the challenge:

Hardcore is the hardest character difficulty. If the character suffers death or gets vanquished for any reason, that character is permanently deleted and is never able to be used again. Master Mode is the hardest world difficulty. “For The Worthy” is the hardest world seed. It is a secret world seed, which is accessed by typing in the aforementioned named world seed.

This is what I did and what happened in this session: I generated my Master Mode and "For The Worthy" world (I have Corruption after picking random world evil), generated my character just before I started, made a large base, watched the Demolitionist get vanquished because a Slime glitched through blocks, did some exploring, chopped down plenty of trees, fought plenty of enemies, got Eucalyptus Sap from a tree (which summons a pet Sugar Glider), got Fries from a Flying Fish, obtain a Zombie Arm and a Menacing Shackle from Zombies, looted a Chest which happened in the Corruption (so quickly looted and left), made a mine from my base to the underground layer and started to get a Slime Rain (so am ignoring it as I do not meet the regular conditions for it to happen, but it can happen at any time without meeting any conditions with a lower chance in this difficulty).

For this challenge, I do intend to show all footage from my playthrough, so that viewers can watch any part of the challenge they like, however each episode will have timestamps included so you can refer to specific parts of the episode that you would like to watch.

I intend for this challenge to be a casual playthrough, which means there is no rush or need to progress very quickly, however there will be times where I aim to speed up progression, but as safety is very important, there will be low to no sense of urgency during the playthrough.

I have playstyles I intend to focus on during the challenge, however I am not limited to these playstyles or any items for any reason. I intend to reduce damage significantly and avoid damage where possible, use mostly Melee weapons (but use other weapon types as required as well) and focus on possessing multiple weapons and items that can deal damage at once, controlling crowds of enemies and inflicting loads of debuffs. I will have a montage series during this challenge, which will showcase when I beat an event, invasion or boss fight for the first time only, and not duplicate times, during this challenge. In those montages, I will only show the event, invasion or boss fight itself and explain what items I used for it, as well as providing tips for completing the event, invasion or boss fight in any difficulty of the game, including in Hardcore, Master Mode and For The Worthy (which is the difficulty I will be doing these on).
