Dr. Radhika Jain will be talking on the topic ‘Child's Play - When Theatre meets Teaching’. When the word 'theatre' is heard, it is usually associated with performances and the elements involved with it - acting, stage, lights, audience etc. Beyond this performative aspect, theatre can also serve as a powerful tool for teaching and learning by being a strong, complementary medium that brings in the aspects of visualization and deeper reflection. It works with feelings and emotions in a very experiential mode.
This session will focus on how educators can use some tools of theatre in their work with students to enhance their skills. It will also help in self-rejuvenation.
