We have journeyed this far because you have always been there for us. Over the years, you have fanned the embers of our passion for artistic excellence, and fueled our desire to forge ahead in spite of the uneven terrain.
*WE NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER*
The Eko Theatre Carnival (ETC) 2020 is upon us. It is that time of the year when we serve you mouth-watering and brain-tickling artistic offerings in a seven-day feast of diverse artistic interventions. This time around, as it is all over the world, the challenges are monumental. Our artistic voice is threatened, our passion almost punctured, and that is why we have decided to run to you.
Covid-19 has birthed strange offsprings. Social and physical distancing forbid large gatherings, and what is a festival without people? Restricted movements and lockdown have not only compelled immobility, they have also taken a big economic bite on pockets.
*We have however decided not to give up hope.*
*We have decided to keep celebrating life and living.*
*We have decided to bring the festival to you wherever you are - if you cannot join us live.*
*Stage and cinematic arts shall come together.*
*From 3rd - 9th August, there shall be live performances to a restricted number of people per day, while a filmed version of these same performances shall be broadcast at the same time through various social media outlets.*
